Staff raise cash for Deafblind UK! - 7th March 2006

'CIE-Group Ltd recently visited Deafblind UK’s headquarters to present £517.40 to our Education Manager, Heather O’Brien and Head of Fundraising, Rachel Shepherd. Deafblind UK would like to thank everyone at CIE-Group for pulling out all the stops to raise the money at their Christmas party on behalf of the deafblind people we support.

The money that you’ve all raised will help to provide a fully trained Communicator Guide to work one-on-one with a deafblind person. Deafblind people often feel isolated and lonely but a guide can really open up their world and make all the difference even if it’s just a trip to the local shops or out for a walk.

CIE-Group has supported our work over the past few years in a number of ways but the most ground breaking has been the work undertaken by your experienced design team. They’ve enabled us to enhance the public profile of our Education Department by helping us with our marketing materials and by doing so we’re bringing deafblindness to the attention of more and more people - putting the disability firmly on the map in the UK.'
