fond farewell to a true audio Starr!..
The
end of 2009 also saw the end of an era as CIE-Group’s
Managing Director – Mr Mike Starr –
finally retired after 35 successful (and colourful!)
years with the company.
Having
begun his career developing the Company’s
audio sales division (cue many tales of company
car options such as ‘vinyl roof’ and
‘leather-look seats’), to Sales Director,
then Managing Director for the past 6 years, Mike
has been the heart and soul of CIE throughout
the majority of the Company’s history. We
all wish Mike the very best for his retirement
and we thank him for where we are, and who we
are today and for the many, many, many versions
of the same 6 hilarious tales that will be repeated
for years to come!
Following
Mike’s retirement, CIE-Group is pleased
to welcome the new members to the Board –
all of whom you may well already be familiar with
as the existing management team;
Joining
Neil Mackay (who now adopts the dual role of Financial
Director and Managing Director) are Steve Collin
(Group Sales Director), Chris Edwards (Marketing
Director), Jon Doar (Commercial Director), Kevin
Sherwood (Field Sales Director) and Ben Yeardley
(Business Development Director).
